The Launch of Program ROSE in Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, 14 January 2019
With the success of Pilot Project ROSE, and in the transition from a pilot project into a program, Program ROSE was officially launched on 14 January 2019 at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The opening ceremony was officiated by YAB Dato' Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia accompanied by YB Puan Hannah Yeoh, Deputy Minister of Women, Family & Community Development and YB Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, Minister of Health Malaysia. A memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between University Malaya and Victorian Cytology Services (VCS) Foundation was signed by Professor Dato' Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya and Associate Professor Marion Saville, Executive Director of VCS Foundation.
Screening with LPPKN in Angsana Mall, Johor Bahru, 26 January 2019
Program ROSE, in collaboration with Lembaga Penduduk dan Pembangunan Keluarga Negara (LPPKN) was given the opportunity to offer free cervical screening tests at Angsana Johor Bahru Mall in conjunction with Program Santuni Rakyat Peringkat Negeri Johor on 26 January 2019. This event was launched by the Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
World Cancer Day, Straits Quay Mall, Penang, 2nd & 3rd March 2019
In conjunction with World Cancer Day 2019, Program ROSE, in partnership with Academy of Medicine Malaysia (AMM) and ROCHE, had the opportunity to offer free screening tests at our 2-day event booth at Straits Quay Mall, Penang on 2-3 March 2019. With the theme #IAmAndIWill, Program ROSE supports the initiative to help Malaysia in moving forward to eliminating cervical cancer.

World Cancer Day Fun Run 2019
Program ROSE will be at the World Cancer Day Fun Run 2019, offering a limited 40 FREE cervical screening tests. These tests are offered in partnership with ROCHE and are available on a first come, first serve basis.

PROGRAM ROSE IN MEMBAKUT, SABAH
Ever since Program ROSE was launched on 14 January 2019, we have collaborated with several parties to provide cervical screening services to various communities. We understand that to achieve cervical cancer elimination goals, we have to form strategic collaborations with local initiatives that prioritizes the under-screened, B40 community.
Therefore, this coming 20th April, we will be partnering with Sabah English Aspiration Society (SEAS) in Membakut, Sabah to offer 80 FREE cervical screening tests to support a local program that benefits the wider community. There will be a corner to promote English literacy among children while mothers and women can undergo screening. This will be in partnership with Jabatan Hal Ehwal Wanita Sabah (JHEWA) and Persatuan Masyrakat Brunei Sabah (PMBS).

In partnership with Permatang Pauh Member of Parliament Office and Selangor Properties Berhad, Program ROSE will be at Dewan Pasir Indah, Permatang Pasir, Penang on 30th June 2019 (Sunday) for a Mini Health Carnival for women and their families. We'll be there from 9am to 2pm to provide ROSE cervical screening for FREE targeted at B40 population (limited number of 200 tests). Early detection greatly improves the chances of successful treatment and can prevent any early cervical cell changes from becoming cancerous. See you at our booth!
Our next stop is in Pandan, KL!
In collaboration with Etiqa and Pandan Member of Parliament Office, we will be offering free cervical screenings at SMK Pandan Mewah, Ampang Jaya. This event marks the commencement of Etiqa’s Free Cervical Screening Campaign, a nationwide campaign between Etiqa and ROSE Foundation, aimed at screening 6,000 women for cervical cancer from B40 communities across the country.

Pa kabar kitak orang? Kamek orang datang ke Miri & Lawas!
For the first time ever, Program ROSE is heading to Miri and Lawas, Sarawak. In partnership with Etiqa Insurance & Takaful , Dr Michael Teo, Member of Parliament for Miri and Agnes Kam, we will be providing ROSE cervical screening for FREE targeted at the B40 population who are aged between 30-49 years old. Early detection greatly improves the chances of successful treatment and can prevent any early cervical cell changes from becoming cancerous. See you there!
